3Mは本日、ウィリアム・M・"ビル"・ブラウン氏が2024年5月1日付けで最高経営責任者（CEO）に就任することを発表しました。同じく2024年5月1日付けで3M取締役会執行会長に就任するマイク・ローマンの後任です。

61歳のブラウン氏は、航空宇宙・防衛技術ソリューションの世界的イノベーターであるL3ハリス・テクノロジーズの前取締役会長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）であり、最高経営責任者（CEO）と会長を務めた後、2019年6月から2022年6月まで取締役会長を務めました。また、2019年にL3テクノロジーズと合併する以前は、ハリス・コーポレーションの会長、社長、最高経営責任者（CEO）を歴任しました。2011年11月に社長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）としてハリス・コーポレーションに入社しました。ハリス・コーポレーション以前は、ユナイテッド・テクノロジーズ・コーポレーション（UTC）で14年間、さまざまなリーダーとしての役割を果たしてきました。
