2020年07月02日

At 3M, we believe in the fair treatment, access and opportunity for all individuals, and are committed to advocating for human rights and removing barriers to social justice and equality. That’s why 3M is signing on to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Business Coalition for the Equality Act in the U.S.

“Joining HRC’s Business Coalition for the Equality Act is a step forward on our path toward becoming a more inclusive company, and an acknowledgement of our support for the LGBTQI+ community and equal rights for all,” shared 3M’s Chief Diversity Officer Ann Anaya.

As part of the HRC Business Coalition for the Equality Act, leading U.S. employers state support for the U.S. federal legislation that would provide the same basic protections to LGBTQI+ people that are provided to other protected groups under federal law. The participating companies operate in all 50 states and employ more than 12.1 million people across the United States.

“This commitment not only represents the equality that our 39,000 employees in the U.S. deserve, but signifies the importance of equality for 3M’s more than 96,000 employees around the globe,” said Ann. “We’re making this step forward united and in solidarity with our global community.”
