Friday, Feb. 11, is International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a time to celebrate women and girls as agents of change in the world of science. 

Because of 3M volunteers and programs like Visiting Wizards, girls around the globe have access to science programs and opportunities to meet 3Mers who are making an impact in their fields.  

3M Visiting Wizards encourage young people to become interested in science and technology and aim to raise interest in STEM. 3M Wizards showcase interesting and fun science demonstrations and hands-on experiments on a variety of topics. These simple experiments can help young people understand the role 3M science plays in everyday life. 

You can request an appearance by a Visiting Wizard at your school or organization in the Twin Cities area by filling out this form.

Right now, Visiting Wizards science kits are on their way to 20 sites across the globe so even more students can be exposed to applied science, sparking interest, wonder and curiosity.
